The graphics, gameplay, music, challenges and hidden extras all look uber-amazing. Numerous times Arkham Asylum is referred to as a prison with a revolving door in the back (and DON'T say 'yeah but they're not Batman writers, because Paul Dini co-wrote the script and he works for DC and is one of the masterminds behind the Animated Series.) Are you telling me there won't be the Joker or Poison Ivy in the second game?Īnyway, that's my only gripe. You can use whatever villiains you like, as many times as you like when it comes down to Batman. Well, you're all going to say, 'Yeah but they need those villains for a sequel.' Well, no they don't.
Wouldn't it be better to have to save people from being frozen to death AND beat Freeze, or have to defend yourself against civillians/doctors who've been brainwashed by the Mad Hatter without seriously hurting them, instead of what we get? And yes i know you have to fight them in different ways, and i know Scarecrow, Ivy and Harley are in it, but that's not the point. But no, instead we get 3 giant fighters to take on instead. All awesome characters, each with their own unique abilities, and in Two Faces case, he's like Bats' #2 or #3 villain of all time (depending on how you rate Ra's Al Guhl). Two Face, Mr Freeze, The Ventriloquist, Clayface, the Mad Hatter. And Zsasz? Fuck Zsasz! You're telling me people would rather do the whole 'get behind him so he doesn't kill the guard' 5 or 6 times instead of facing off with The Riddler or Man-Bat? I've read that there are cameos and voice interviews with the other inmates, but why have Bane, Croc AND juiced up goons in the same game? That's like 3 big brawlers as enemies. The one thing i didn't like about this game, was the lack of villains that are included as actual enemies in the game. I've been banging on about it for the better part of 4 months now (which you'd come to expect considering my user name and sig). I'm going out of my FUCKIN' mind waiting for this game to come out over here.
